Sleep 7 hours per night

Sleep helps your muscles recover and repair. It also increases blood flow to muscles, while decreasing cortisol (the stress hormone). By getting adequate sleep, you are giving your body the best chance to see results from all the workouts and dieting. Your brain will thank you too.

Exercise 3 times per week

Starting out at 3x a week is great. It will improve your overall health. It will also help you build stamina and endurance. Maintain this cadence, and you’ll be up to 5 workouts per week in no time.

20 min walk 4 times per week

Walks are a great form of cardio. They will also help relax your mind. If you’re looking for a simple therapeutic practice that will benefit both your physical and mental fitness, daily walks are your next best friend.

Drink more water

No beverage is more beneficial to your health than water. Being properly hydrated regulates body temperature, delivers nutrients to cells, improves sleep quality, AND improves cognition. Want to be your most active self? Drink at least half a gallon of water per day.

Eat your favorite vegetables daily

Veggies are excellent for your health, especially leafy greens. They have virtually no calories, make you feel full, and are packed full of nutrients like potassium, fiber, vitamin A, and vitamin C.

Journal 1 page per day

Like exercising, journaling is one of life’s greatest stress relievers. Additionally, it boosts creativity, self-expression, and mindfulness. Journal 1 page per day to keep life in perspective. Having a clear mindset does wonders for a successful fitness journey.
