The dos and don’ts of weight loss

6 tips to keep you motivated for losing weight

What’s up Drip Fam,

Does the weight loss journey ever get annoying for you?

After a few days of not seeing results, do you almost want to give up completely?

If yes, I’ve got good news and bad news.

The bad news is that this lethargic feeling is part of the journey. The good news is that I know some easy-to-follow rules that will keep you in the right mindset for success.

If you want to lose weight and achieve the best body of your life, follow these dos and don'ts of weight loss.

The dos and don’ts of losing weight:

DON’T do HOURS of cardio.

Prolonged cardio can lead to burnout. Additionally, you may lose the weight, but end up with a "skinny fat" look. The goal is to build muscle in place of the fat.

DO follow a plan w/ weight training and cardio

Combining weight training and cardio maximizes fat loss, boosts metabolism, and creates a well-rounded fitness foundation.

DON’T compare yourself to others

Comparisons breed unrealistic expectations. Focus on your progress for a positive mindset and commitment to personal goals.

DO Take progress photos & compare yourself to yourself

Progress photos track tangible changes, motivating you by comparing your achievements to your own journey.

DON’T cut out your favorite foods

Extreme restrictions lead to cravings. Enjoy favorite foods in moderation for a balanced and sustainable approach.

DO eat them in moderation

Moderation maintains a healthy relationship with food, preventing binge-eating and contributing to a sustainable weight loss journey. (Eat the serving size)

Follow these very simple tips to see huge results in your weight loss journey.

Before you know it, you’ll be trotting along a beach with your shirt off like your favorite fitness influencer.

With love,

Jonathan Walker
